Tips For Dry Skin |
Follow these tips to keep your skin glowing:Avoid hot water. Although it may feel great to take a long hot shower in the winter, try to keep the water at a lukewarm temperature to avoid drying out your skin. If you can't sacrifice your hot shower, then try shortening the length of it to help your skin retain its natural moisture. The same goes with hand washing - lukewarm water is best. Moisturize. No matter what skin type you have, moisturizing should be a part of your daily skin care regime. It is best to moisturize after showering and hand washing, and before going to sleep. You can find moisturizers to fit your specific skin needs, from those containing alpha hydroxy acids to help fight acne to wrinkle-fighting formulas. Exfoliate. In addition to adding moisturizer to your skin care routine, you should also exfoliate at least once a week. Using an exfoliating scrub will slough off dry dead skin cells. Be sure to use products specific for facial skin on your face and body scrubs for the rest of you! |
